The Task

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, the client needed to find the right manufacturer for their one-of-a-kind product.  At the time, they were unable to find a manufacturer that could successfully deliver what they were asking for. We had to reverse engineer the entire bill of materials, so we could find the right materials.

The Strategy

We would interview dozens of manufacturers, in order to find a partner that could execute a successful product.

The Execution

After an intensive search, we were able to find the original paper supplier in Japan. They had minimums, but we were able to negotiate, so we settled on a price that was fair for our client. We found and hired the right overseas contract manufacturer. In addition, one of our employees stayed in China for a month, in order to oversee the entire manufacturing process

The Success

Because of our efforts and our ability to control the supply chain, the client was able to secure a second round of funding.
